The Miss Cook Island New Zealand 2019 finals was held on Saturday 5th October 2019. This is the second Miss Cook Island New Zealand competition after a hiatus of 20 years.
Akari New Zealand was proud to be involved with the Miss Cook Island New Zealand competition. We were invited to be a sponsor by Pa Ariki who is the patron for this event. An invitation which we accepted as we felt this was a way we could give support and encouragement to our young Cook Island vaine to have confidence and feel good about their future and their chosen paths in life, be it as a Marine Scientist, Model, Preschool Teacher or whatever they aspire to become. In this instance, our support was by way of prizes consisting of Akari New Zealand skin and haircare products for the crowned Miss Cook Island and fist and second runners-up as well as attending the event. Congratulations to the winner, Miss Akatokomanava, Terito-O-Ngakura Story, runner-up, Miss Mangaia, Rebecca Enuake and second runner-up, Miss Takitumu, Esther-Grace Pekepo. Congratulations also goes to Abigail Haurua (President) and the committee. It has been a pleasure working alongside you. It was a wonderful evening with lots of laughter and warmth and all should be proud of their hard work. We are certainly proud to be part of it. Meitaki maata. Check out some photos of the evening on our Facebook page.
